This was when he wrote his first poem about the “Land of the Midnight Sun,” called “Alaska – Home of the Free.” Instantly falling in love with the land, wildlife, and what he calls the Spirit of Alaska, Jimmy has been capturing the splendors, hardships, and everyday life of Alaska ever since. As a guide, he has gained a unique perspective beautifully reflected in this compilation of photographs and poems, allowing readers to feel the Spirit of Alaska in their hearts.

The Spirit of Alaska 2026 Calendar
Jimmy has released the new Spirit of Alaska 2025 Calendar. It measures 9.0" x 12.0" when closed and features unique photographs of Denali (Mt. McKinley) behind the 12 calendar grids, each of which was taken during that corresponding month in addition to the monthly "showcase" photographs. The front and back covers are in vertical or portrait format, whereas the inside opens in a horizontal or landscape format. It serves as beautiful wall art and an educational calendar, making it a great gift for a loved one.
