Scenic Landscape Prints
The vastness and diversity of Alaska is almost impossible to do justice with photographic images. Yet images of its landscape can give glimmers of the beauty and wonder that Alaska has to offer. Angles, lighting and composition play a big role in conveying the grandeur of such a magnificent place. Jimmy has tried his best to capture inspiring snippets of some of the wonders of The Last Frontier.
Scenic Panoramic
Panoramic prints are offered in 10”x30” sizes on Stand Out Metal and Canvas Gallery Wrap. This is an aesthetically pleasing dimension for photos in your home or office where traditional sizes just won’t work.
Wildlife Prints
Simply watching wildlife do its thing has always intrigued Tohill and made him strive for a life that is more connected to our natural environment and made him more at peace. Capturing images of the sheer raw beauty of wild animals as they interact with our wonderful world has been a passion of his since he was 10 years old. He feels so very fortunate to have seen the wildlife he has let alone been able to capture it in images to remember and to share with others. Tohill is very grateful for the patience and persistence that he has been graced with to help enable him to accomplish this.
Northern Lights – Aurora Borealis Prints
Jimmy has been fascinated by the northern lights since he first saw them while grooming ski runs in a snowcat at Purgatory Ski Area in southwest Colorado in the mid-1980s. Since 2005, he's been passionate about viewing and photographing the aurora borealis, spending whole nights jogging in place to stay warm while waiting through lulls in auroral storms. Living on the north side of the Alaska Range provides him with great opportunities to view and photograph the aurora. Patience, awareness, devotion, and acceptance are crucial in his pursuit of capturing the northern lights. Knowing how to operate and having the right camera gear is vital for him to take consistent, beautiful photographs. He dresses appropriately for the weather and keeps his camera gear operational in extreme temperatures. But above all, his best approach is to get outside and look up.
